IRS Updates HSA-Related Forms

(January 18, 2016) It’s that time of year. The IRS has been busy releasing updated forms to provide taxpayers and financial organizations with current forms and instructions related to HSAs. Updates to the following forms have been posted in HSAstuff, and can be accessed by clicking here.

  • Form 1040, U.S. Individual Income Tax Return, and its corresponding instructions
  • Form 1040NR, U.S. Nonresident Alien Income Tax Return, and its corresponding instructions
  • Schedule R (Form 1040A or 1040), Credit for the Elderly or the Disabled, and its corresponding instructions
  • Form 1096, Annual Summary and Transmittal of U.S. Information Returns
  • Form 1099-SA, Distributions From an HSA, Archer MSA, or Medicare Advantage MSA, and its corresponding instructions
  • General Instructions for Certain Information Returns (Forms 1097, 1098, 1099, 3921, 3922, 5498, and W-2G)
